excellent snow boot
This winter boot is one of the best available in my size it's pretty hard to find any shoes or boots in my size. but i've been using this model for years my last pair lasted me about six years only using it for winter. it's very comfortable and very warm but don't where this boot inside for long periods of time because it doesn't breathe at all outside for long periods of time is great and has pretty good traction. THIS BOOT IS GREAT FOR THOSE LONG NEW ENGLAND WINTERS!

Okay I guess but not if you're replacing MX621
This shoe might be okay in its own right but I was led to believe that it was an upgrade to the 621. It is an entirely different shoe although it looks similar.
The biggest difference is in the toe box which is much narrower than the 621 even in 4E size.
I sure wish that they still made the 621. I am now on a search for a replacement.

Wonderful COMFORTABLE Shoes Guys!I have terribly bad feet ankles and legs and a severely deteriorated spine at L4-L5. I also use a cane at all times.
These shoes from Merrell are just the best thing since sliced bread!!
Supportive Solidly Constructed from Quality Materials Rubber Soles (yea!) that stay soft and "grippy" not like the "plastic stuff" used by others!! Never Slip Always Grip even when wet and on tile floors.
They fit and have a comfort level of slippers! How Great is That!? Softly yet firmly gripping your foot...you must try a pair and see what I mean! Don't doubt my word men read the other reviews here also!
Do yourself a GREAT favor and get yourself a pair of these great comfortable and long-wearing shoes. I can tell you personally that the "classic taupe" and "midnight" always look well and go with everything and "brush up" wonderfully when soiled or skuffed looking!!

Excellent! Improve your SAFETY during winter walksbought 2 pairs for my walking partner and self. They are awesome! We tried cheaper versions last winter and spent most of the time trying to keep them on our shoes. The YAKTRAX pro has a strap over the toes helps keep them in place. We walk on ice snow shoveled walks streets and they keep you from slipping. Be careful on tile or flooring in your house - then they are slippery. One of us had shoes with an opening in the sole that created a pocket for snow build up - once the shoes were changed to a flatter bottom - no more build up. I love them and considering the cost of an injury without them think they are well worth the money.

Good Improvements On One of Asics Franchise Running ShoesFor background I am an average runner that runs three to six miles several days a week - 2/3rds of the time on a treadmill and 1/3 of the time outside. Some seasons I kick up the miles for a marathon but in general running is part of a cross training program. I have traditionally oscillated between New Balance and Asics but flirted with other brands.
Asics makes excellent running shoes in general but at the high end of their range the Kayano and the Nimbus are standouts. Kayanos are best suited for "neutral" runners who have a perfect step and gate. The Nimbus are a bit more forgiving for those of us who run on the outer edge of one or both of our feet. I fall into this category in that my shoes show wear on the outer edge of one of my heals. Having run in both the Kayano and the Nimbus I would give the nod to the Nimbus as it provides a little more "support." (Note - they provide support for running but next to no lateral support necessary in other sports such as basketball. They are best for running or spending time on your feet all day.)
This is the eleventh (or XI) version of the Nimbus. In theory each iteration would get progressively better but that has not always been true. Version ten (X) was a bit less cushioned and slightly heavier than nine (IX). That has been cured with this latest model. It is softer and lighter (purportedly by an ounce which sounds silly unless you run). It breathes a bit better as well.
For the fashionable crowd the colors are much better in person than shown on the website. The black / graphite version in particular is a nice addition to the traditional white / blue color combo. For those new to Asics the one downside of all of the Asic's shoes is they have lots of textures and grooves in the foam / rubber areas that pick up dirt easily but they are "running" shoes so buy something else for street shoes.
One other comparison of note is that Nike's competitor the Vomero has improved as well and is close but not quite as good. They have a slightly wider toe box and feel softer at the ball of the foot out of the box but the softness translates to a slight dissipation of energy. Ok for the casual runner but not for higher mileage - like running in soft sand.
Two niggles that bother me with running shoes at this level that are worth mentioning: (1) the insoles are pathetic and (2) they are made in China. I find it irritating that you spend more than $120 for a pair of shoes and the insole is barely better than cardboard. Second I always feel a slight pang that anything made in China is made under suspect circumstances. But all running shoes (save for a few New Balance models) suffer from these issues so I am not deducting a star for this.
In summary if you like the Asics feel you will be pleased with this latest Nimbus. It is a worthy successor to the heritage.

Very comfortable; very useful. Perfect for laptops!Something I didn't know when I ordered this online: The pocket behind the Jansport logo has inner pockets for pens phone calculator small book rocks old socks... whatever you want. My other Jansport had the bottomless pit of pockets that was a nightmare to dig through to find a pen or change for that horrible Starbuck's coffee I keep buying.
The straps are thick and harder than the previous Jansport straps. ALMOST too stiff but they should soften up with use. The nice part about them is that 65 pounds (of books) with these S-shaped straps doesn't feel as bad as it did with my other straight Jansport straps.
The "Chocolate Cherry" color is realy burgundy or better yet a nice cabernet. I don't know about the other colors but Jansport is pretty good about the color in the picture matching the product.

Great slippers and great valueThis is the third pair of slippers that I have purchased and the best of the bunch. I was particularly looking for a slipper that was made of "natural" type materials instead of the more common nylon/rayon. These slippers are not full of the "fake fuzz" that made my feet sweat so much that if I pulled them off I didn't want to slip back into a cold wet slipper. They breath well and my feet are dry after wearing them.
They are well made (for the price) and are more comfortable than $40 LB Evans slippers and $20 Dr. Scholls that I tried before. Great comfortable flannel type lining seems to wick away moisture and cushioned insole is great.
Fit is pretty true to size. Other slippers in my size tended to be way to small these were close. I typically wear size 10 and was reluctant to order a 10 but sure enough they fit. A bit small but close enough that I wouldn't move to the 11.
I think you would be hard pressed to find a better slipper at this price.

NB 1123
These are a replacement after many pairs of NB 1122s. Still a great running shoe but for some reason they've shortened the length of the tongue. Its hard to grasp the tongue to prevent it from sliding down when you put the shoe on.
